Bringing SCOTUS Transcripts to life with Argument Sessions by Liz Morgan

#ICYMI in June, Liz Morgan returned to the cast of Argument Sessions to perform in a workshop production of an immersive devised theatre piece based on Shelby v. Holder.

Argument Sessions places audiences in the middle of our country’s most important legal battles. This ensemble-driven, transcript-meets-cabaret event weaves verbatim US Supreme Court argument transcripts and decisions with variety theatre, stripping away the austerity of the courtroom and inviting you to party with our judicial process.

Last year, I became a staff writer for a digital series called Sauce for Emmy-winning cable channel, BRIC TV. Sauce is the story of a black chef seeking reinvention and redemption after falling from grace. I’m proud to announce our work has already appeared as an Official Selection at the Seattle International Film Festival and will also be featured at the Hip Hop Film Festival here in New York in August.
